This restaurant offers menu items and buffet. They have a wonderful Sunday morning buffet. More times then not, the service is bad. The wait staff are not friendly or upbeat, but instead approach with more of a sad, sluggish way about them. Not very good with customer service. Or first time in, the waitress say us at a booth, seemed very uninterested in serving us, but informed us of the buffet, which is what we went with. We each went up for a small salad and noticed that the buffet was being cleared. We spoke with the manager who apologized and fixed the situation by waving the buffet fee. Weve been in since and havent had any issues that compare to that. The food is decent .... homestyle dishes.

Very poor service! Once we received our food no follow up to see how things were. Waited over 15 minutes when finished our food for our bill to come, never came so went to register. Only two other tables had people and our waitress was behind the counter playing on her phone. She had no idea we were still waiting on our bill.....seriously, only three tables in the place with two waitresses!! Sandwich came with no bun..... didn t know you wanted one, I can go get you one. Fries were very greasy! This place has really went down!!

Seems like service has gone down hill over the last year. Today, only 6 people in there eating. Yet it took forever to get a salad and a hamburger. Hamburg was barely warm. Had to ask twice to get coffee refilled. Yet there was 4 or 5 witnesses standing over by the cash register having a big laughing time. On the plus side the food was good.

No refills on coffees and felt rushed like she would rather be somewhere else. People that were there before us left because the waitress never took their order. These people need to hire better help or train them better. Also tell them (the staff) that it doesnt hurt them to smile.

The last mom and pop restaurant chain in this area of Ohio , delicious for food and the atmosphere was OK. More for the locals of Van Wert area , they have their regular older folks crowd, its a little worn but quaint , the breakfast food and service was excellent . The dining room chairs were uncomfortable , but like I said overall this is a great place to have breakfast. Parking: Theres wheelchair accessible spots next to the door.

If youre 55 or over, youll probably like this place. I remember when it was the Happy Humpty, the western terminus of the weekend cruising circuit, so I qualify. Good breakfasts, and the best tenderloin sandwiches in town!

5 stars for the food and service, both of which were amazing. The ladies restroom looks to need a little bit of love, though. It was not very clean, and the accessible toilet needs a new wax seal. Otherwise, it was a good stop.

We called the day before letting them know we had a group of 20 or more coming in after my fathers funeral. They had plenty of time to call in additional help. But instead, we had food come out 20-30 minutes apart from each other. They told my neice an hour after ordering food for her children that they were out of what they ordered. Their excuse was not enough help in the kitchen. Several hamburgers and Philly cheese steaks that I saw were so over cooked they werent fit to eat. We were all so disappointed because we like the fish and chicken dinners you serve there. It will be a long time before I go back.

Today me and my mother went out for a quick meal, I got fries and she got chicken tenders. It took about 30 minutes for them to get out and as we received our food the french fries were hard and over cooked and the chicken was almost cold we obviously ate a bit of it as we were hungry from waiting so long, it took forever just to order our food as well as it did when we wanted to check it took about 10 extra minutes just to receive the check and pay. We told the women that we were dissatisfied with our meal and asked if she could do anything she simply made us pay full price and said absolutely nothing. We will never go again! - a upset family
